After your surgery, the surgical site will be bandaged and you will be given specific instructions on how to care for your wound. These hand outs are specific to whether your wound was closed with stitches (and/or staples) or left to heal on its own. They are available to download below.

1. For surgical wounds left to heal without stitches, please  CLICK HERE  to download the instructions.


2. For surgical wounds closed with stitches (and/or staples) and you were instructed to keep the bandage dry for a week, please  CLICK HERE  to download the instructions.

3. For surgical wounds closed with stitches (and/or staples) and you were instructed to apply ointment to the site, please CLICK HERE  to download the instructions.

4. For surgical sites closed with a skin graft, please  CLICK HERE  to download the instructions.


At your follow-up appointment approximately 1 week after surgery, the surgical site will be evaluated and additional hand outs may also be provided.
